Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Hinckley police blotter for Nov. 23

Brunswick police Wednesday, Nov. 15 12:17 a.m. — Laurel Road; a traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with Desiree Duncan, 39, of Brunswick. She was found to have a warrant out of the North Royalton Police Department for failing to appear on a traffic offense. She was placed under arrest and transferred to North Royalton police. 10:58 p.m. — 60 block of Pearl Road; police responded to Manzo's Bar for a report of an intoxicated woman who fell and hit her head. Mary Weiss, 73, of Brunswick, admitted to consuming alcohol, refused to speak with officers and was unable to remember where she fell. She was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated into Brunswick Mayor's Court. Thursday, Nov. 16 12:19 p.m. — Landon Lane; a woman reported that she was scammed out of more than $4,000. She applied to an online company and was sent a check for $3,880 to purchase equipment for the position. She already sent the money for equipment through CashApp before she was notified that the check was fraudulent. 8:19 p.m. — 200 block of Pearl Road; a deer was euthanized after being struck by a vehicle. Friday, Nov. 17 3:44 p.m. — Center Road/West 130th Street; one vehicle struck another in an intersection and then left the scene without stopping. 10:44 p.m. — Main Street; the Woodmere Village Police Department said they had Cody Podsiadlo, 26, of Broadview Heights, in custody. He had a failure to appear warrant out of the Medina Municipal Court on an original theft charge from Brunswick police. He was arrested and transported to the Medina County Jail. Saturday, Nov. 18 1:34 a.m. — North Carpenter Road; a vehicle was speeding and committing a marked lanes violation. While speaking with the owner, Evan Gray, 24, of Brunswick, there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage. He admitted to consuming alcohol, he indicated impairment and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Marijuana and an open container of alcohol were located inside of Gray's vehicle. He refused to submit to a chemical test and was placed under an administrative license suspension. He was issued summonses into Brunswick Mayor's Court for OVI, driving in marked lanes, speed violation, marijuana drug abuse and open container in a motor vehicle in transit. 2:43 a.m. — 60 block of Pearl Road; Shawna Planicka, 50, of Brunswick, was alleged to have been intoxicated and caused a disturbance at Manzo's. She was issued a minor misdemeanor citation into Brunswick Mayor's Court. 6:44 p.m. — Pearl Road/Laurel Road; police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. James Snyder, 33, of Brunswick, was issued a summons for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Sunday, Nov. 19 2:24 a.m. — 1200 block of Pearl Road; officers responded to Christie's Cabaret in reference to Samuel Kosinar, 25, of Brunswick. Police learned that he was given a ride home after a physical altercation with security. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle that he was in. Kosinar allegedly was uncooperative and was physically removed from the vehicle. He was issued citations into Brunswick Mayor's Court and was transported home by police. Monday, Nov. 20 6:53 p.m. — 1200 block of Pearl Road; a 12-year-old girl was bitten and scratched by a dog. Brunswick Hills police Wednesday, Nov. 15 12:31 p.m. — Marks Road; a woman reported the theft of her wallet. Monday, Nov. 20 2:41 p.m. — North Carpenter Road; a vehicle caught power lines with the top of the truck. Debris struck the windshield of the vehicle. Tuesday, Nov. 21 3:44 p.m. — Sleepy Hollow Road/West 130th Street; a vehicle turned left into a ditch. Hinckley police Saturday, Sept. 30 5:19 p.m. — Stony Hill Road/Center Road; one vehicle struck another and ended up in a ditch. Saturday, Oct. 14 7:00 p.m. — West 130th Street/Hidden Pine Lane; a driver lost control of the vehicle, spun 180 degrees and went off the road. The vehicle came to rest against pine trees. Wednesday, Oct. 18 7:31 p.m. — 100 block of Center Road; the driver of a vehicle did not have a valid driver's license. Thursday, Oct. 19 3:53 p.m. — West 130th Street; a report of theft from a customer's vehicle was made. Sunday, Oct. 22 1:55 a.m. — West 130th Street; a driver was found to be operating a vehicle while impaired and was subsequently arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Monday, Oct. 23 10:33 a.m. — Ledge Road; a report of a fraud complaint was made. Wednesday, Oct. 25 7:35 a.m. — Bellus Road; a deer was euthanized after being struck by a vehicle.
