George A. Fields

George A. Fields, 88, passed away in Medina on Monday, November 6, 2023. He was born March 16, 1935, in Canton, New York. George was a prominent member of the Medina Community and retired from Medina Supply Company with over 40 years of service. He was an Assistant Chief of Medina Volunteer Fire Department, and active in the Medina Lions Club, FOE #2224, as well as the Loyal Order of Moose Medina Lodge #647. Most of all he loved his wife, Nora, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his three sons, Steve Fields, Greg (Denise) Fields, and Brad Fields; grandchildren, Megan Carter, Justin, Ian, and Carson Fields; great-grandchildren, Cailey and Logan; along with a lifetime of collected friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Nora, in 2018; and his parents, Carrie and Darl Doty. The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a brief service at 12 Noon in Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Street, Medina. A private family burial will be held in Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
