Edward R. Gaub

Edward R. Gaub, 67, passed away peacefully Monday, October 16, 2023, at his home. Ed is survived by his children, Jeremy Gaub (Karen), Joshua Gaub (Erin) and Lindsey Akpo-Esambe (Mashume); mother of his children, companion, and friend Debbie Gaub; sisters, Brenda Garafolo, Laura Gaub and Monica Kratzer. Ed was the proud grandfather to Carter, Raegan, Bodhi, Asher and Zoey. Beloved son of Raymond (deceased) and Carolyn Gaub. Ed was an uncle and dear friend to many. Ed spent his 48 year career at Clark-Reliance working his way up to Director of Manufacturing before retiring in March 2022. He was an avid Cleveland baseball fan, and was a 30 year season ticket holder. Ed could often be found on his back deck sipping coffee with his dog, Doc, while enjoying the birds, his garden and the wind chimes in his backyard oasis. He also loved golfing, birdwatching and above everything, being a grandfather. Generous, caring and 'one of the good ones' are words commonly used to describe Ed. The family will welcome guests from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Ed will be laid to rest following the service at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cleveland.
