Richard B. Cunningham

Richard B. Cunningham, 60, passed away at his home surrounded by family Friday, September 15, 2023 after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Born in Lakewood, to Richard and Maureen (Barber) Cunningham, he made Medina County his home, specifically, Lodi. Richard graduated from Cloverleaf School District and attended Hocking Tech for continued education. Richard was employed for the last 15 years at Carlisle in Medina, where he met his best friend and companion, Carol. Richard was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed a challenge, but most importantly he loved to hunt and fish in which he made many travels to Northern Ontario Canada to family property. Sundays were spent grilling enjoying cold Labatt Blue with his boys. Richard loved his family and leaves behind to celebrate his life and memories are his loving mom, Maureen Cunningham; his sons, Justin and Ryan; grandson, Mason Cunningham; his siblings, sister, Kim (Warren) Walter; brother, Scott Cunningham; nieces, Amanda and Emily; his best friend and companion, Carol, (Muffin); his hunting buddy and lifetime friend, Roger (Curtis); and canine companion, Loki, also known as Cujo, Bobby and Robert; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his dad, Richard J. Cunningham; both sets of grandparents; and loving aunty, Lynda of Waldhof of Ontario, Canada. Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with memorial service to follow. Cremation has taken place.
