2023 Business at the Barn The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance is hosting its annual Business at the Barn today. The event will be open to the public from 5-6:30 p.m. and takes place at the barn at Mapleside Farms at 294 Pearl Road in Brunswick. The event is a business showcase that gives business owners and residents the opportunity to network. Free Clinic of Medina County receives $5,000 donation On Saturday, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2224 of Medina donated $5,000 to the Free Clinic of Medina County. Free Clinic of Medina County Executive Director Nancy Peacock accepted the donation. Upcoming Bike Medina County Slo Roll Go on a slow-paced bike ride along Brunswick Lake trail on Thursday as part of Bike Medina County's Slo Roll program. Riders should meet at 6:15 p.m., and the ride begins at 6:30 p.m. It is for ages 12 and older, and no registration is required for the free event. Participants should meet at the parking lot behind Panera at 1405 Parschen Blvd. in Brunswick. Waivers will be provided and must be signed before the start of the ride. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by a parent. All riders must wear helmets and bring water bottles. All bicycles should have blinking white front lights and red backlights. Free ORMACO concert ORMACO and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum will close out their summer Music at the Arboretum concert series on Friday at John Streeter Garden Amphitheater, 2122 Williams Road in Wooster, with Avon Lake-based musician Jerry Popiel. The program will feature popular music from singer-songwriters from the 1960s and 1970s such as Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg, Cat Stevens and more. Popiel is a producer, singer and songwriter and plays multiple instruments such as guitar, mandolin, bass, harmonica, percussion and keys. He primarily performs as an acoustic guitarist and singer. He is also a member of the indie rock band Birdhouse Gourds and the 1970s tribute act Cowbell Fever.
