Curtis Banks

It is with great sadness that the family of Curtis D. Banks announces his passing after a brief illness. Curtis D. Banks went to sleep peacefully and woke to the eyes of Jesus Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Hospice of Western Reserve at the age of 82. Curtis was born January 26, 1941 in Ottawa, West Virginia to Curtis and Ellen Banks. After graduating from Scott High School, Curtis worked for General Motors and retired after 30 years. Curtis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Linda Banks; his children, Jeanette (Lorne), Cindy (Michael), and Tami (Constantine); his grandchildren, Jason, Jarrett (Brittany), Olivia, and Zander; his great-grandchildren, Alaina, Caroline, Colton, and Aden; and by his brother, Jerry (Geraldine). Curtis was preceded by his mother, Ellen; father, Curtis; brother, Jackie; sister, Janet; and brother, Randy. Curtis was a true man of God who lived a life devoted to Jesus and growing His Kingdom. He reflected the heart of Christ so well, boldly loving his people and sharing the Gospel whenever he could. A funeral service in memory of Curtis will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church located at 5050 Middlebranch Ave Canton, Ohio 44705, officiated by Pastor David Ryan. Interment will follow at Sharon Township Cemetery located at 6801 OH-94 Wadsworth, OH 44281. For those that desire, please send flowers directly to the church.
