Beverly Ann (Leitenberger) Campbell

With a sorrowful, yet grateful heart, we announce the adored Beverly Ann (Leitenberger) Campbell passed from this life to the next Saturday, August 5, 2023 following a long battle with Parkinson's and Dementia. Beverly was born May 22, 1942 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She grew up dancing, cheering, and spending time with her family in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. She graduated from Bishop McCourt High School and pursued a degree in Occupational Therapy from Mt. Aloysius College. Beverly married her soulmate, Theodore E. Campbell, Jr. on June 26, 1965 and moved to Ohio to begin their life together. Throughout her life, Beverly mastered many occupations. She was a 'cleaning lady' for the Seville Post Office, an Assisted Living Aide, a Receptionist for Wadsworth Pediatrics, and a Lead/Manager at Polo Factory Stores and Kasper Suits to name a few. No matter where she was or what she did, Beverly invoked joy, love, passion, and perfection in all her endeavors. However, her favorite position/career was spent teaching at the United Methodist Church (UMC) Preschool for 16 years. Beverly loved children and would light up with each new face she met. Her goal was to make each child feel safe, loved, and valued. She did this daily by encasing them with the greatest hug they had ever received, smiling, and celebrating when they accomplished something new, and chanting, 'You are the B.E.S.T. best' over and over until each one believed it themselves. She was a true teacher. Beverly was also a woman of strong faith. She spent each day serving the Lord, living selflessly and loving others. She made immediate connections with any stranger who crossed her path and left them feeling like they met a lifelong friend. She walked as an angel among us. All the while, Beverly spent every waking hour dedicating herself to her family. She made delicious, home cooked meals, kept the house sparkly clean, attended all school sporting events, dropped off and picked up anyone who needed a ride and more. She was our number one cheerleader, always rooting us on as loud and hard as she could. She loved her family fiercely, and it was felt intensely. Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rosemary (Culleton) and Francis Leitenberger; and her brothers, Garry, Larry, and Fredrick Leitenberger. Her memory lives on with her loving husband of 58 years, Theodore E. Campbell, Jr.; her brother, Walter Leitenberger; her children, Craig Campbell, Tish (Ron) Mellert and Lara (Jamie) Stafinski; grandchildren, Ty and Samantha (Furr) Campbell, Cole and Haiden Campbell, and Chandler (Chris Sulzener) Campbell, Mitchell, Madeline and Mathew Mellert, Cody, Campbell, Carlynn and Cate Stafinski. All family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City.
