Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Hinckley police blotter for July 13

Brunswick police Tuesday, July 4 2:18 a.m. — Laurel Road; a woman alleged that Brandon Bokar, 29, of Brunswick, pushed her after a verbal altercation and left on a bicycle. The bicycle matched the description of one that was reported as stolen on July 3. The victim confirmed the bicycle was his and requested criminal charges. Bokar was also found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle, which he admitted was used to administer drugs. He was arrested and transported to the Medina County Jail. 8:39 a.m. — Devonshire Drive; a woman reported that her rear glass sliding door to her deck was shattered. 1:39 p.m. — Maxwell Boulevard/Laurel Road; one vehicle side-swept another. 10:31 p.m. — Abington Court; a man reported finding several packages of fireworks in the wooded area behind his house. The fireworks were secured without incident and stored for future disposal. Wednesday, July 5 2:19 a.m. — I-71; a traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver Paloma Pichardo, 31, of Columbus, and passenger Jalen Jefferson, 23, of Grove City. Marijuana was located within the vehicle. Pichardo was issued a traffic citation, and Jefferson was issued a drug abuse citation. 2:29 p.m. — Boston Road; North Royalton police contacted Brunswick police regarding John McMackin, 46, of Medina, who was found to have an outstanding failure to appear warrant for his arrest on original charges of driving under suspension and no operator's license. Custody of him was exchanged, and he was unable to post bond. He was subsequently transported to the Medina County Jail. 3:20 p.m. — 3200 block of Center Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. 6:02 p.m. — 3100 block of Center Road; a traffic stop was conducted, and the operator of the vehicle, Sheldon Stinson, 26, of Parma Heights, was found to be in possession of marijuana and two open containers of alcohol. He was issued citations into Brunswick Mayor's Court and released on scene. 7:00 p.m. — 3400 block of Center Road; a woman reported that her Huffy bicycle was stolen. It was last seen taken by a man at Giant Eagle. She does not want to pursue criminal charges, but she wants to be notified if her bicycle is ever located. Thursday, July 6 4:52 p.m. — Monterey Circle; a woman reported identity theft. Friday, July 7 9:00 a.m. — Center Road/Jefferson Avenue; one vehicle rear-ended another. 10:18 a.m. — 1200 block of Pearl Road; a woman reported that Vesna Donovan, 59, of Brunswick, approached her in a parking lot and would not stop speaking to her despite requests to stop. Donovan was found to have an active warrant for failure to appear out of Medina Municipal Court on an original charge of making false reports, and she was arrested. She was transported to the Medina County Jail. 4:12 p.m. — 2900 block of Center Road; an employee of Crestmont Hyundai reported that a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen without keys from the dealership parking lot. Saturday, July 8 4:14 p.m. — Inner Circle Drive; several sources of fires were observed inside a residence. Erin Bonnallie, 58, of Valley City, was walking away from the residence. She admitted to starting fires in her apartment and was placed under arrest for arson. Bonnallie resisted arrest and obstructed official business by refusing lawful orders in an attempt to delay her arrest. She was transported to the Medina County Jail. 8:31 p.m. — Bennington Boulevard; officers received an anonymous tip that Gregory Keipert, 29, of West Salem, was in a certain location, and he had a felony warrant through the Medina County Sheriff's Office for aggravated possession of dangerous drugs. Officers made contact with him, and he was arrested and transported to the Medina County Jail without incident. Monday, July 10 9:40 a.m. — 4000 block of Center Road; Brunswick police received a warrant hit confirmation for Meranda Dunlap, 29, of Strongsville, from Medina police. The failure to appear warrant was confirmed and a copy of the warrant and completed return was faxed to the Medina County Sheriff's Office upon her being transported there by Medina police. Brunswick Hills police Saturday, July 8 12:21 a.m. — Laurel Road; police were dispatched regarding a vehicle in a ditch. Sunday, July 9 2:39 p.m. — Summerfield Lane; a report of identity theft was made. Hinckley police Sunday, June 4 12:50 a.m. — Ledge Road; a man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Monday, June 5 12:22 a.m. — Boston Road; a report was made of a man who wanted to shoot people in his residence. Officers arrived on scene, and contact was made with the man, who claimed the accusations were false. Wednesday, June 7 10:45 p.m. — West 130 Street; a driver of a vehicle was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Friday, June 9 9:52 p.m. — 700 block of Center Road; a black vehicle was traveling at 104 mph in a 45-mph zone. The vehicle passed an officer while going 97 mph, and Hinckley police pursued the suspect vehicle. Later, the driver ran, and the suspect was not located. The vehicle was towed.
