Adam Snook named Buckeye High School principal

YORK TWP. — Buckeye Schools recently announced that Adam Snook will be the principal of Buckeye High School, effective Aug.1. Snook spent his first nine years in education teaching American history and psychology and coaching football for North Olmsted Schools. He has been the assistant principal of Buckeye High School for the past six years. "I've always had a servant mindset to serve others and to provide others with many of the opportunities that I had as a student," he said. "When I was in high school, I had fantastic teachers as a student. I always wanted to replicate that for others as a way of serving and giving back to the next generation." Snook is succeeding Principal Dan Flood, who will be taking a head principal position at North Olmsted High School next school year. "With a passion for education and a proven track record of leadership, Adam Snook will bring a wealth of experience to his new role as principal of Buckeye High School," said president of the Buckeye Board of Education Seth Kujat. "Throughout his career, Snook has consistently demonstrated his commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students and collaborating with teachers and staff to drive academic excellence." In his new position, Snook said he is looking forward to providing teachers the resources to prepare students to be successful. The 21st century skills consist of the district's "portrait of a Buck" competencies like communication, collaboration, respect and stewardship as well as learning how to use technology. "Adam Snook's exceptional leadership skills, deep understanding of educational best practices and unwavering dedication to student success make him the ideal choice for this position," Buckeye Schools Superintendent Jeff Harrison said. "We are confident that under his guidance, Buckeye High School will continue to thrive and provide an outstanding education to its students." For the next school year, Snook said he will be focusing on small ways the school can improve that can add up to large successes in the long run. "Being here on the verge of amazing things is something I did not and don't want to ever walk away from," he said.
