Carl George Hiteman Sr

Carl George Hiteman Sr, 73, of Medina, passed away Friday morning, May 26, 2023, following a courageous, ten-year battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on February 13, 1950, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Carl and Irene Hiteman. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Helen; his three sons, Carl Jr, Gerald, and Albert. Though an only child, Carl considered his family to include Helen's siblings, Mary Anne (Ray Schuck), Gerald Will, Theresa (Jim Coons) Bradstock, Frances (Richard Schuck), Audrey (Phil Davis), and Elizabeth (Ralph Hoersten); his niece, Heather; and nephews, Ray (Monica), Johnny (Sylvia), Nate, and Jake. His extended family included Aunt Lydia and Uncle Gene Marosan; Gloria and Sam Butcher, Joseph Marosan, and Amber Goedde. He was preceded in death by his parents; Aunt Margaret Kerezsi; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schuck; brother-in-law, Alden 'Brad' Bradstock; uncle and cousin, Raymond Hiteman; and Aunt Lydia and Uncle Gene. Carl practiced law in Medina for nearly 40 years. He graduated from John Carroll with a B.A and M.A in psychology. He continued his education with a Juris Doctorate from The University of Toledo Law School. Carl moved to Medina in 1982 where he lived until his death. Carl was an avid tennis player and enjoyed fishing, traveling, telling jokes, stories, and experiencing various ethnic cuisines at the myriad of festivals and restaurants wherever he lived and traveled. Carl loved hosting and cooking for his family and friends. His boys meant the world to him, and he was able to provide his sons with all the tools necessary to succeed in life. His spirit lives on through his children and wife. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
