Brunswick police Wednesday, April 26 7:04 a.m. — Cypress Point Drive; a vehicle drove left of center and struck another vehicle. 8:19 a.m. — Dorchester Drive; animal control dispatched a sick raccoon, and the remains were properly disposed of. 2:19 p.m. — Parschen Parkway; an officer responded to the Brunswick Nature Center in reference to a man sleeping along the walking trail. Jason Smyrak, 53, of Brunswick, was found to be intoxicated. He was issued a citation into Brunswick Mayor's Court and transported to his residence. Thursday, April 27 6:42 a.m. — 10 block of Pearl Road; Cameron Short, 25, of Brunswick, was found to have an active felony arrest warrant out of the Medina County Sheriff's Office for a weapons offense. He was arrested and turned over to the Medina County Sheriff's Office. Friday, April 28 9:47 a.m. — 38000 block of Center Road; a woman turned in an Apple AirPods pro case containing one Airpod that she found at Meijer. It was placed in the police department's lost and found. 10:42 p.m. — 1300 block of Pearl Road; a Subaru was reported to be driving recklessly. A traffic stop was conducted, and the operator, Brian Reinhart, 34, of North Royalton, had slurred speech and admitted to consuming five alcoholic beverages before driving. He was arrested on suspicion of OVI, and his blood-alcohol content was 0.215 percent. He was placed under administrative license suspension and issued summonses to Medina Municipal Court. Saturday, April 29 11:20 a.m. — Laurel Road; Jennifer Shaw, 50, of Brunswick, was intoxicated and banging on neighbors' doors even after she was told to leave. She was cited for disorderly conduct into Brunswick Mayor's Court. Sunday, April 30 6:25 p.m. — Center Road/I-71; one vehicle rear-ended another. Monday, May 1 11:21 a.m. — Laurel Road; a bus driver reported that a vehicle passed a stopped school bus. Police made contact with the operator of the vehicle, Alicia Kobasic, 23, of Brunswick Hills. She admitted to the offense and was issued a citation into Brunswick Mayor's Court. 8:31 p.m. — Streetsboro Road; Cuyahoga Falls police contacted Brunswick police regarding Brianna Hisset-Conley, 24, of Solon. She was found to have an active failure-to-appear warrant through Brunswick Mayor's Court on an original charge of driving under suspension. She was unable to post bond and was subsequently transported to the Medina County Sheriff's Office without incident. Brunswick Hills police Monday, April 24 7:58 a.m. — Sleepy Hollow Road/West 130 Street; one vehicle struck another at an intersection. Wednesday, April 26 10:12 a.m. — 4700 block of Center Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. Sunday, April 30 11:44 p.m. — 5000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road; officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for marked lanes and driving under suspension violations. The owner was also found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 4:40 p.m. — Foskett Road/Fawn Haven Drive; an officer initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. Monday, May 1 4:10 p.m. — 2100 block of Pearl Road; one vehicle slid into another. Hinckley police Wednesday, March 15 10:12 a.m. — West 130 Street/Laurel Road; one vehicle struck another after failing to yield at a stop sign. Friday, April 7 9:53 p.m. — 2500 block of Center Road; an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple marked lane violations. It was discovered that the driver was in possession of marijuana. He was cited for a marked lanes violation and was issued a summons for possession of marijuana. Thursday, April 13 6:48 p.m. — Brookshire Oval; Hinckley police responded to a report of an intoxicated man. It was learned that the man had thrown an unopened beer can at his father during an argument. He was subsequently placed under arrest for alleged domestic violence and transported to the Medina County Jail.
