Highland March student of the month Highland High School senior Elijah Hadler was selected as the Medina County Kiwanis Student of the Month for March. Highland Schools said he was selected because he is a leader who is committed to academics and extracurricular activities. Hadler has taken many honors and Advanced Placement-level courses, and he is a member of yearbook and peer leading. He also represented Highland at the OHSAA state tournaments for cross country, track and tennis. Hadler is the son of Gary and Elizabeth Hadler of Granger Township. After graduation, he plans to attend college. River Styx Road in Montville Township will be closed from Monday through Thursday for the replacement of multiple road culverts. On Monday and Tuesday, the closure will be between 6655 and 6675 River Styx Road. On Wednesday, addresses between 6349 and 6505 River Styx Road will be closed. On Thursday, the closure will be between 6655 and 6675 River Styx Road. State Route 421, just north of state Route 83 will be closed Monday for an emergency sanitary sewer repair, which is being completed by the village of Lodi. Interstate 71 north and south, at the structure just north of state Route 162 over River Styx Road, will have lane closures for a bridge repair project. The project is estimated to be completed in June. State Route 162, from state Route 3 to state Route 94, will have single-lane closures for a resurfacing project.
