Brunswick City Schools said he was selected from hundreds of volunteers because of his commitment to his little brother. Elise Juchnowski, an eighth grade student at Brunswick Middle School, earned first place in the Optimist Club's essay contest. According to the Optimist Club's website, the theme of this year's essay was, "who is an everyday hero that brings out the optimism in you?" Local students on dean's list, president's list at College of Charleston The College of Charleston announced that more than 2,280 students were named to the president's list and dean's list for the fall 2022 semester. The following local students made it to either the dean's list or the president's list: Jenna Parker of Medina was named to the president's list. She is majoring in biochemistry. Margaret Tifft of Medina was named to the dean's list. She is majoring in public health. Medina County students on dean's list for RIT The following local students were named to the dean's list at the Rochester Institute of Technology for the fall 2022 semester: Julia Javorsky of Hinckley is in the mechanical engineering program. Eli Hansen of Medina is in the mechanical engineering program. Autumn Derhammer of Seville is in the new media interactive development program. Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for the dean's list if their term grade point average is equal to 3.4, if they do not have any grades marked incomplete or have a grade of D or F, and if they have registered for and completed at least 12 credit hours. Local student on dean's list for Bethany College Allyson McClelland of Brunswick made it on the dean's list at Bethany College for the fall 2022 semester. Students named to the dean's list must have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or better while completing a minimum of 12 graded credit hours. Liverpool Twp. road closure continues West River Road in Liverpool Township has been closed and will remain closed until further notice between Grafton Road and School Street. Access addresses up to 994 West River Road from Grafton Road to the north of the closure and addresses 1024 West River Road and up from School Street south of the closure.
