Annual Four Chaplains remembrance service American Legion Post 202 will hold its annual Four Chaplains remembrance service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on 317 E. Liberty St. The event is free and open to the public. The hourlong ceremony is dedicated to the Four Chaplains of World War II who died by giving up their life vests on a sinking ship to save the lives of others. During the ceremony, three speakers will reflect on sacrifice and community goodwill. Soloist Marian Vogel will sing during the ceremony as well. United Way providing free financial coaching in Medina United Way of Summit and Medina is now providing financial empowerment services to Medina County residents. The Medina Financial Empowerment Center is located in the organization's Medina office at 23 Public Square, suite L-1. The program offers free financial coaching and other services such as free tax preparation assistance. Financial coaching is designed to help residents budget, save, reduce debt, establish safe and affordable banking services and increase their credit scores. Those interested in setting up an appointment should call 211 or visit uwsummitmedina.org/fec. Appointments are available in-person or over the phone. Medina County residents on Walsh University's fall 2022 dean's list There were 607 students who qualified for the fall 2022 dean's list for Walsh University including several Medina County students. Students enrolled for at least 12 credits who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in any semester are included on the dean's list. Participants are recommended to dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and bring a bottle of water. The hike is for ages 10 and older. No registration is required for the free event. Learn about and see birds that live in the area during the winter at Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park on Sunday from 3-4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars if they have them.
