Brian James Tierney

Brian James Tierney, 53, of Westfield Center, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home. Brian was born January 23, 1970 in Akron, the son of Mary Ellen (Tierney) Bare and the late David D. Tierney. Brian graduated from Lake High School in 1989. He went on to own and operate his own trucking business for nearly 20 years. Brian met the love of his life Lisa in 1996. They married in 1997 and were looking forward to celebrating their 26th anniversary next month. Brian loved spending time with his family, watching sports (especially when his kids were playing), catching up on old movies, and taking care of everyone around him. He had a one-of-a-kind personality and could lighten any room he walked into with his lighthearted jokes. Family was everything to Brian and he will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Lisa (Hershberger) Tierney and beloved children, Tristan, Morgan, and Devin Tierney of Columbus, and Logan Tierney of Westfield Center. Brian is also survived by his mother, Mary Bare and stepfather, Jim Bare of Uniontown, as well as his sister, Stacie (Dave) Einloth of Suffield and brother, David B. Tierney of Akron, in addition to his nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his father, David D. Tierney. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home in Medina. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023 in the funeral home.
