Barbara Ann Morrow Merrill

Barbara Ann Morrow Merrill was born January 12, 1939 in the Bronx, New York and peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward Charles Merrill; her parents, Robert Morrow and Blanche Junge Morrow and uncle, Emil Junge. She is survived by her six children, Pam (Tom) DeYoung, Pat (Jim) Bator, Steve (Tina) Merrill, Denise (Ron) Reich, Kris (Steve) Welling and Keith Merrill (Chris Vlahos); her 13 grandchildren, Brooke (David) Spell, Sam (Alex) DiVito, Matt (Kelly) DeYoung, Joe (Alex) DeYoung, Mitch (Heather) Welling, Kait Bator (Drew Wishman), Jordan Reich, Eric Bator, Nick (Kayla) Reich, Courtney (Hayden) Coey, Gaby Welling, Nate Merrill and Hailey Merrill. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Penelope and Parker Spell, Liam and Tate Welling, Avery June Reich, Lincoln DeYoung and August DiVito. She is also survived by her siblings, Michael (Dale) Morrow and Colette (Morrow) Myers, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews. Barb and Ed were married July 16, 1960. One of her dreams as a little girl from New York City was to have a farm, which she accomplished with her husband and children in Ohio. Together they raised cows, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, enjoyed gardening and traveling. Barbara's greatest joys in life were her family, faith, baking, traveling and time with friends. She dedicated much of her life in service to others. She was involved in Girl Scouts, as troop and council leader and also in 4-H for many years. Barbara also loved her years working as a manager for McDonalds in Ohio and Phillip Sehnert Dentistry in Texas. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She was a devout Catholic, active in ministries at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (Brunswick) and Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church (Lewisville, Texas). Her children keep with them many wonderful memories of family trips, game nights and spending holidays with her family. Barbara was loved by many and will be incredibly missed. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home in Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Wadsworth. Burial will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
