City of Medina seeking data on electric cars The city of Medina Emerging Technology Advisory Committee is seeking information from Medina residents on the future purchase of electric cars. Medina High School student named candidate for 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars program Colin Barberic, a senior at Medina High School, has been named one of more than 5,000 candidates for the 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars program. The candidates were selected from nearly 3.6 million students who are expected to graduate from U.S. high Schools in 2023. Students are selected based on academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character, and involvement in community and school activities. A panel of educators will review submissions and select approximately 600 semi-finalists in early April. The Commission on Presidential Scholars, a group of up to 32 citizens appointed by the president, will select the finalists. The U.S. Department of Education will announce the awarded scholars in May. Dean's list students have attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
