Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Hinckley police blotter for Jan. 19

Brunswick police Wednesday, Jan. 11 1:32 a.m. — Boston Road/Skyview Drive; an officer conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver, Garrett Schmidt, 37, of Hinckley, had a suspended driver's license. In addition, the vehicle's passenger, Ronald Schmidt, 34, of Brunswick, had a warrant out of Strongsville Police Department on failure to appear on a drug offense. Ronald Schmidt was released into the custody of Strongsville police, and Garrett Schmidt received traffic citations. 2:26 a.m. — Interstate 71/state Route 303; an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. It was found that the operator, Larisa Marie Henderson, 30, of Westerville, possessed marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, according to the police report, and was issued citations. 10:30 p.m. — 4200 block of Arlington Drive; the day before, an unknown man took a package off the caller's front porch. The homeowner posted his doorbell video on Facebook and the man was identified. Charges are pending. Thursday, Jan. 12 7:05 p.m. — 3900 block of Grafton Road; a woman reported an ongoing issue with her neighbor as her neighbor's cats keep coming onto her property and setting off her security camera. The caller requested a report. Friday, Jan. 13 3:05 a.m. — 4200 block of Beverly Hills Drive; officers were dispatched to assist with a vehicle lockout. The registered vehicle owner, Marcus Price, 27, of Massillon, was found to have a felony warrant out of the Akron Police Department on charges of theft and forgery. Price was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the custody of Akron police. The vehicle was unlocked after Price was in custody. 9:23 p.m. — I-71; a vehicle went out of control and went down a grass embankment. Saturday, Jan. 14 4:50 a.m. — Brunswick Lake Parkway; a vehicle struck a fire hydrant. 7:17 p.m. — Cider Mill Lane; a woman reported that her and her son's firearms were missing from her son's vehicle. She said she last knew the firearms to be in the vehicle approximately three weeks ago. Sunday, Jan. 15 7:09 p.m. — 3300 block of Center Road; a traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the operator, Christopher Martin, 25, of Brunswick. Police said the odor of marijuana was detected and that Martin was cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court for drug abuse and no taillights and released on scene. Monday, Jan. 16 2:00 a.m. — 1300 block of Pearl Road; Timothy Peck, 34, of Medina, had a suspended driver's license and two theft warrants out of the Strongsville Police Department. He was placed under arrest, and a glass pipe that he said he uses to smoke methamphetamine was located on him. He was issued traffic and drug paraphernalia citations and released into the custody of the Strongsville police. 12:10 p.m. — 10 block of Pearl Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. Tuesday, Jan. 17 2:32 p.m. — West Streetsboro Road; Macedonia police said they had Tiana Royster, 25, of Cleveland, in their custody and that she had an active Brunswick Mayor's Court failure-to-appear warrant. Brunswick police arrested her on the warrant and transported her directly to mayor's court. Brunswick Hills police Thursday, Jan. 12 10:19 a.m. — Jeanette Street; an officer was dispatched in reference to fraud. Friday, Jan. 13 7:54 a.m. — 2200 block of Marks Road; a vehicle struck two mailboxes. 1:55 p.m. — Emerald Lane; a package was reported stolen from a front porch. 3:56 p.m. — Substation Road/Grafton Road; one vehicle slid into another vehicle. 5:02 p.m. — Pearl Road/Foskett Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. 6:27 p.m. — 500 block of Substation Road; one vehicle struck another because it was unable to stop from the snow. Saturday, Jan. 14 12:01 p.m. — Sleepy Hollow Road/Pearl Road; a vehicle failed to yield and struck another. 12:32 p.m. — Lake Pine Circle; a report was made of an online scam. Sunday, Jan. 15 11:59 p.m. — I-71; a Brunswick Hills officer was dispatched to assist the Medina County Sherriff's Office with a drone in an attempt to locate two individuals who ran away following a vehicle pursuit. The two individuals were located and taken into custody. Monday, Jan. 16 4:28 p.m. — Boston Road/Prospect Road; a vehicle went into a ditch, and police and EMS were dispatched for a car crash. Tuesday, Jan. 17 4:27 p.m. — 700 block of Marks Road; an officer was conducting a traffic stop and identified the odor of marijuana. 6:34 p.m. — Substation Road/Center Road; a three-car crash occurred after a vehicle failed to yield. Hinckley police Wednesday, Dec. 14 6:23 p.m. — Ridge Road/Weymouth Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. Saturday, Dec. 17 7:18 a.m. — West 130 Street/Grafton Road; a vehicle slid through an intersection and into a ditch. Monday, Dec. 19 8:04 a.m. — Ridge Road; a deer was struck by a vehicle and still alive. The deer was clearly injured and was dispatched. Saturday, Dec. 24 8:01 p.m. — State Road/Center Road; one vehicle struck another and continued south without stopping.
