William H. Filley, Jr.

William H. Filley, Jr., 94, of Hartville, Ohio, peacefully stepped into Heaven's Gate on Friday, January 13, 2023 surrounded by family. Born in Cleveland, he lived most of his life in Medina. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an Electronics Technician. William was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Norma Jeanne (Davis). A devoted father to his three daughters, Janet (Arland) Smith, Joyce Darby, and Jackie (Frank) Clapper. He loved dearly his grandchildren, Adam, Samantha (Philip), Sarah (Sheldon), and Kathleen and his six great-grandchildren, Elliott, Savannah, Anthony, Elizabeth, Andrew and Emilia. He will never be forgotten and always in our hearts. Following William's wishes, cremation has taken place and graveside services at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to Crossroads Hospice or St. Joseph Care Center, Louisville, Ohio.
