William 'Bill' Dudley Petrak

William 'Bill' Dudley Petrak of Lafayette Township, passed away in his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the age of 79, after a tough battle with cancer. He was born November 1, 1942, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Nass) Petrak in Cleveland. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law. In 1960, Bill met his wife, Carol (nee Mazzeo) of 61 years. They were married on April 15, 1961, going on to have four children. Bill was a career Ford Motor Company employee in Brook Park and after 38 years, retired in 2004. In retirement, Bill enjoyed golf, traveling to Aruba every year and spending time with his family. Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carol; children, Debra, William (Judith), Joseph (Susan) and JoAnn; grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathon (Rebecca), Amanda, Michael, Jacqueline, Brandon, Ashley, Dillion, and Anthony; great-granddaughter, Charliann; sister-in-law, Sandra (Samuel) Ruffing, Antoinette Slater, Catherine Wright, and Florence Mazzeo; brother-in-law, Anthony (Pamela) Mazzeo and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Petrak; son-in-law, Doug and brothers-in-law, David Mazzeo and Louis Papp. Please join the family for Memorial Visitation on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 12 Noon until 3 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment following at Resurrection Cemetery, 6303 Center Rd., Valley City.
