James Bennett

James Bennette, 75, beloved son of Julius and Marian (nee Behrens) (both deceased); loving brother of the late Bill. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen (nee Arthur) and her family, Sharon Walz (Scott), Jeff (Wendy), and Andrew; and grand-nieces and nephews, Lauren, Sophia, Madeline, Alexander, and Jack. James Bennett was born in Cleveland in 1946. Jim grew up in Parma, where he attended St. Charles Borromeo Grade School and Cathedral Latin High School. Jim graduated from University of Dayton in 1968 and pursued a lifelong career in Engineering working as a Mechanical and Industrial Engineer for Republic Steel, Ford, LTV, and MK Ferguson. Jim was well liked by his coworkers and enjoyed bringing humor to the workplace until his retirement in 2008. James most enjoyed spending time with family and friends where he brought life, energy, and humor to family gatherings. He will be truly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
