High School Softball: Highland's Ashley Brewster, Emma Hetkey named first team all-SL American

Highland pitcher Ashley Brewster and second baseman Emma Hetkey earned first-team All-Suburban League American Conference honors. Hetkey led Medina County with a .505 average (46-for-91) and added a .549 on-base percentage and 22 stolen bases. She also led the Hornets with 39 runs and tied pitcher Keirsten Trayte for the team lead with two home runs. Brewster went 9-6 with 95 strikeouts in 94 innings and a 2.83 ERA while hitting a team-high 12 doubles and tying outfielder Corinne Mutch with two triples. Trayte and Mutch earned second-team notoriety. Catcher Kennedy Steinbacher and third baseman Kyrsten LeMassena were honorable mention selections.
