Dorothy June Curie

Dorothy June Curie, 76, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron with her family by her side. She was born March 23, 1946 in Wooster, to Richard and Mary (nee Ziegler) Stahl. Dorothy, affectionately known as 'Dottie' or 'Sis' to her friends and family, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She leaves behind a son, Craig Curie (Heidi); granddaughter, Amanda Fintel (Kyle); grandsons, Chad and Brandon Curie; great-granddaughter, Kate Fintel; brother, Dick Stahl (Bonnie); nieces and their families and many cousins including Belinda Carnes (Kevin) who was like a sister to her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Dorothy was an avid baker, and loved to share her cookies at various flea markets, craft shows and MAPS Air Museum where she had many friends that will miss her greatly. She was a free spirit and was blessed to travel and go places whenever she had the opportunity. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandkids and great-nieces and nephews, and spoiling them at any opportunity. She had a kind heart and really cared about others. A Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12 Noon at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Union Cemetery in Wooster. Friends will be received one hour prior to the Service of Remembrance at the funeral home.
