John D. Van Loon

John D. Van Loon, 77, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022. John was born January 2, 1945 in Corning, New York to Donald and Eleanor (Badger) Van Loon. He graduated from Painted Post High School and then went to the College of Wooster, and received his BA and Master Degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara. John enjoyed studying, listening, and watching sports. He lived in Rijswijk, Netherlands for two years. John enjoyed learning about, getting to know, and spending time with people. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice (Van Loon) Holland and wife, Wilma (Spears) Van Loon. John is survived by his son, David (Cheryl) Van Loon; brother, Jeffrey (Marta) Van Loon; two nephews; four nieces and brother-in-law, Larry Holland. The family would like to thank the staff of Pearlview Wellness Center in Brunswick for all of their support, care, and comradery. A private family service will be held.
