Dance ignites Medina studio

MEDINA — Ignite Dance Studio is a fun place to learn how to dance starting at age 2 to adult classes. Ignite offers ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, Acro, and leaps and turns. Krista Juderjahn is the director of Ignite Dance Studio. "Being the director of Ignite is incredibly fulfilling because I get to do everything from teaching the kids how to dance to working with them on their goals," she said. Ignite has 200-300 dancers dancing currently. They participate in about four dance competitions a year and one additional one for solos and duets. Juderjahn explained that "a lot goes into planning a dance recital because you have to get everything organized and the venue booked and then get the dances straightened out." How did Juderjahn become the director of Ignite? Juderjahn was in Chicago dancing professionally when she received a phone call in September 2014, offering her the opportunity to be the director of Ignite. It was a decision that has not only positively impacted her life, but also the lives of the many students she mentors and inspires. Ignite Dance Studio is at 2455 Pearl Road in Medina.
