John Molnar

John Molnar, 80, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born June 9, 1941 in Cleveland, to the late John and Dorothy Rose (Andrews) Molnar. John graduated from Medina High School in 1959 and married Julia (Metek) Molnar on June 16, 1962. In that same year, John bought his first farm in Litchfield and started his own sod and landscaping business. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and hunting and he enjoyed bluegrass music. John served his community as a trustee and zoning board member for Litchfield Township. John is survived by his children, John (Ashleigh), Michael (Dawnlyn) and Sandra (Jason) Dagger; grandchildren, Kristen, Kaleigh and Kendra Molnar and Ava and Amelia Dagger and his sister, MaryAnn Purtell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Julia Ann and his brother, Robert Molnar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022 and 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
