Medina police highlight 20-year-old missing person case

BRUNSWICK — A 20-year-old missing person case has drawn renewed calls for help from local police. Lynn A. Cunningham, then-24, was last seen on Feb. 1, 2002, in Brunswick before contact with family members ceased. According to Medina police, the only communication since that time occurred a couple of days later, a string of phone calls from Cunningham to loved ones that originated from out-of-state numbers. Authorities say none of those calls shed light on Cunningham's location. According to The Charley Project, a nonprofit that archives more than 15,000 cold case files using government and police data, Cunningham may have been at a truck stop near Interstate 76 and U.S. 224 in Seville the day she was last seen. Medina police said they chose to highlight Cunningham's case as part of National Missing Persons Day, which was this past Thursday.
