Gitta H. Divis

In loving memory of Gitta H. Divis (nee Gerber), 75, who peacefully passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, She was surrounded and comforted by her loving family. She was born December 29, 1946 in Thalheim, Germany, the second daughter of Johannes and Marianne Gerber. Gitta is survived by her husband, Francis 'Mike' Divis; children, Daniel Gerber, Michael Divis and Patty Divis; sister, Sabine (Helmut Linz); grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua and Gabrielle Divis, as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Gitta's smile, kindness and class will be remembered by all. She grew up in Germany, becoming a master tailor. Gitta met her future husband, Mike while he was stationed in Germany. She moved to Ohio in 1966 and spent 54 beautiful years in marriage with Mike. Her most cherished times were spent sharing laughs and making everlasting memories with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her love and passion for life, the Lord and gardening. She was extremely creative and talented with all that she did and had unyielding faith in her Lord and Savior. We take solace in knowing she is home in the arms of Jesus. A Celebration of Life service will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129. A fellowship dinner will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
