Nancy L. McKee

Nancy L. McKee (nee Schnabel) peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 92 years of age. Attending Miami University, she met and married her life partner, John B. McKee, who preceded her in death, along with son, Bobby; brother, Robert H. Schnabel; parents, Helen and Harold Schnabel and granddaughter, Kersti E. Raftry. She is survived by her children, Bill (Angela) McKee, Barb (Denny LeMar) McKee and Beth (William) Raftry; grandchildren, Tyler and Tatum McKee, Clay and Cora LeMar, Casey (Chris) Houdek and Brian (Courtney) Raftry. Mom always said that she had 'eyes in the back of her head' which meant that her three children and six grandchildren never got anything past her. The voices of her children highlight her indelible character and wit: The Angels have received a new best friend who is the ultimate cheerleader, confidante, loves to laugh, party, and create lifelong memories! May your flight westward be nothing but blue skies and tailwinds. Your photographic memory, reasoning skills, and agile hands made you an excellent teacher providing us with a life full of lessons still to learn. You were a wonderful mother, loyal friend, with a keen intellect and gift for conversation.Your legacy of love and devotion to our family will forever be with us in heart and soul. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the staff of The Inn at CoalRidge and Crossroads Hospice for their kindness, compassion, attention and care. A private service at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Westfield Fire and Rescue Department, P.O.
