Douglas Floyd Burd

Douglas Floyd Burd, 61, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born in Bay Village on June 18, 1960 to the late William A. and Bettie J. Burd. Doug lived in Hinckley until his family moved to Medina in 1966. He was currently living in Cleveland. Doug attended Medina City Schools and graduated with a GED in 1979. He worked several odd jobs until he became a truck driver for several companies, most recently with B&T Express in North Lima, Ohio. Doug was a loyal lifetime Cleveland Browns fan, loved all kinds of cars and trucks and enjoyed Nascar and NHRA racing. He also had a lifelong love of cats. Left to cherish Doug's memory are his siblings, Kenneth William, Brenda Pauline and Steven Richard Burd; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a great-nephew, Noah Taylor in 2019. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the funeral home at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick beside his parents.
