WR Davion Davis suspended for 2 games following DUI arrest in 2019

BEREA — Receiver Davion Davis was suspended by the NFL without pay for the first two games of the regular season for violating the league's policy on substances of abuse.The suspension stems from a DUI arrest in October 2019 in Minnesota while with the Vikings. Davis pleaded guilty in December 2020 to misdemeanor careless driving, and two counts of misdemeanor drunken driving were dismissed in exchange, according to the Pioneer Press.He will be able to participate in the preseason finale Sunday and will be eligible to return to the active roster Sept. 20.Davion Davis taking advantage of opportunity, keeping NFL dream alive for deceased grandmaDavis, 24, was signed by the Browns on July 31. "I let my family down, I let this team and this organization down. It was a bad situation.
