Edward C. Phillips

Edward Phillips, 58, of Barberton, passed away at his home peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born December 7, 1962 in Medina to Clarence and Charlene Phillips. Ed grew up in West Salem and graduated from Northwestern in 1981. He served in the military in the U.S. Army.and did one tour overseas in Germany. He worked for Holland Trucking Service doing what he loved to do, drive truck. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna; his two sons, Dana and Zane of Canton; mother, Charlene Phillips of West Salem; two sisters, Norma Pugh of West Salem and Betty (Ron) Deuley of West Salem; mother and father-in-law, Pat (Fritz) Flaker of Stow; sister-in-law, Debbie (Tracy) Back of Florida and two very special friends, Draven Gatte and Charlie Lane of the home and many nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by his father, Clarence Phillips; brother-in-law, Joey Griffey; sister-in-law, Danelle and a niece, Kayla Brinker. No services will be held at this time. He will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
