Brunswick Hills, Hinckley police reports for July 22, 2021

Brunswick Hills police Thursday, July 15 3:12 p.m. — 2100 block Pearl Road; the owner of Rico's Bar, 2175 Pearl Road, contacted police after he said someone had passed off a fake $100 bill at the bar on July 14. While it was originally thought that a patron had passed off the bill, the owner later came to believe it was either a bartender or another patron who used the fake bill. 3:24 p.m. — 2300 block Pearl Road; a Medina man contacted police after he said a catalytic converter was stolen off of one of his work vans. There are currently no suspects. Hinckley police Saturday, July 3 12:29 a.m. — Ridge and Boston roads; following a traffic stop for no visible license plate, officers located and seized a small amount of marijuana. The driver was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for a controlled substance. Tuesday, July 6 4:05 p.m. — 1400 block Ridge Road; a Hinckley man contacted police after he said he was alerted that someone in Texas had opened a DirecTV account in his name. Wednesday, July 7 11:15 a.m. — 600 block Stony Hill Road; a Hinckley resident contacted police after he said $800 to $1,000 worth of items were stolen from his house. The house is currently vacant and for sale but the man visits regularly to check in. Thursday, July 15 8:49 p.m. — 1500 block Center Road; following a traffic stop, officers cited the driver for driving with a suspended license.
