Beatrice 'Bea' Jane Bryenton

Beatrice 'Bea' Jane Bryenton peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at home. She was born November 14, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to Otis L. and Mary-Annon (Bell) Cronk. At the end of eighth grade, she came to live permanently with father, Otis L. and stepmother, Phyllis (McNeal) Cronk, who raised her to be the kind, gentle and giving woman she came to be. She graduated from Medina High School in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, David J. Bryenton on April 16, 1955. She and Dave enjoyed their winters in Florida, garage sales, traveling and spending time with family and friends at the cabin. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma. She was an assistant and receptionist for 20 years with dentists in Medina and held other various occupations, but to all, she was a dedicated employee. She was a former 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 202 and a former member of Medina Eagles. Bea was an active member of The International Order of The King's Daughters and Sons. She and four other women started the Lund Loni Circle to which she was a 66 year member. She and all the circle members gave their hearts to King's Daughters and Sons, helping other people less fortunate. She was awarded the Margaret Carle Service Award for her dedicated commitment to helping others. Also, she was awarded the Honorary Life Membership. Her three loves in her life were her family, King's Daughters and Sons and spending time with dear friends at the cabin. She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Susan Bryenton and Pam (Don) Starett of Medina; son, John (Dee Ann) of Kentucky; grandchildren, Chelsea Schott of Albany, Ohio and Erica Schott of Medina and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Sandra Lyon of Albany, Ohio. She was preceded in death by both sets of parents and stepparents; brother, George Cronk and grandson, Andrew (at birth). Visitation and calling hours will be held at York United Methodist Church, 6566 Norwalk Road, Medina from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Lisa Kropinak officiating.
