Trump rally details emerging with food and parking options for attendees

Are you planning to attend former President Donald Trump's rally Saturday at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington? Here are some things you should know. Details of the event are starting to come together. Lorain County Fair secretary Charisse Nikel posted on Facebook that there will be 13 or 14 food vendors available Saturday, and a parking area will be open much earlier than 2 p.m., when access opens to the event space. Nikel also posted a list of items that will not be allowed: aerosols; alcohol; backpacks and other bags; balloons; balls; banners or signs; chairs; coolers; drones; fireworks or any other explosives; laser lights or pointers; glass, thermal or metal containers; Mace or pepper spray; noisemakers such as air horns, whistles, drums or bullhorns; packages; structures; supports for signs or placards; tripods; umbrellas; and appliances such as toasters. The list isn't exhaustive. Anything that could pose a security threat will be barred at the discretion of the screeners. Nikel posted that wheelchairs, scooters and power chairs for people with disabilities will be allowed, but wagons and blankets will not. Bleacher and chair space will be extremely limited. While all information is subject to change, she said, for now vehicles will have to enter from Pitts Road.
