Leadership Medina County graduates dozens in 2021

Leadership Medina County recognized dozens in the graduating Class of 2021 Signature Class, The Resilient and The LEAD Institute Class of 2021. The event included keynote speaker, the Rev. Luke Lindon, senior pastor of United Church of Christ Congregational, Medina, and a presentation of Random Acts of Kindness that students had performed over the year. Each student was tasked with doing 30 acts of kindness throughout the class year. "One of the most important lessons this class walked away with is that the most effective community development requires building relationships among people," Leadership Medina County Executive Director Colleen Rice said. "I'm proud of the time they invested with Leadership Medina County and look forward to their continued work in the community." Despite the lingering pandemic, this year was a productive year, said Terri Greene, director of The LEAD Institute. "We've learned that conflict can be challenging, but also productive if know how to raise the heat just enough to make progress on those tough challenges," she said. "We've practiced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which truly challenged our grit in making progress on challenges."
