Jane Timken's U.S. Senate run endorsed by 10 GOP county commissioners

Former Ohio Republican Party Chairwoman Jane Timken's campaign for U.S. Senate received the endorsement of 10 Republican county commissioners in Ohio on Thursday, her campaign announced. Throwing their support behind Timken's effort to replace outgoing U.S. Sen. Rob Portman were: David Moore, Lorain County commissioner John Plecnik, Lake County commissioner. Tony Badalamenti, Portage County commissioner. David Haber and Adam Craft, Preble County commissioners. Richard Regula and Janet Weir Creighton, Stark County commissioners. Michael Halleck, Roy Paparodis and Tim Weigle, Columbiana County commissioners. "I am thrilled by the support I am receiving from conservative leaders across Ohio," Timken said. "Good leadership at the local and county level is crucial and I am excited to have the support of these commissioners and look forward to working with them on issues in their county when I get to the U.S. Senate." Timken also has received endorsements from U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Lakeville, as well as 38 members of the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee, 19 Republican state representatives, 14 Republican county chairs, four Republican state senators and five Republican mayors.
