Fire at Medina Township restaurant results in minimal damage, no injuries

MEDINA TWP. — Those craving their Outlaw Ribeyes will have to settle for takeout service at LongHorn Steakhouse for the next couple days. The popular restaurant suffered what is thought to be an electrical fire at 9 p.m. Monday. The Medina Fire Department posted on Facebook that all of its stations were dispatched to 4907 Grande Blvd., Medina Township. Employees worked Tuesday on cleaning the restaurant after the fire, said Mike Clark, manager/partner. He said the goal is to be open for dine-in service Thursday. Clark said just one table of customers remained in the restaurant when the fire broke out. "Everyone got out and was safe," he said. "We'll be up and running soon." The fire department said there were no injuries. The department's duty crew arrived first on the scene with Ladder 1 to find a fire in the front of the building near the roof and smoke in the structure. They were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which resulted in minimal damage to the building. Medina Township police officers and paramedics from Medina LST were also on scene to assist.
