David Virgil Metz

David Virgil Metz, 74, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born October 29, 1946 in Nicut, West Virginia and moved to Ohio when he was eight years old. He served in the U.S. Army from December 30, 1965 until October 2, 1968. He enjoyed bowling, golf, softball and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. David is survived by his wife, Diann (Schuerger) Metz; daughter, Krystin Metz; step-children, Sheryl (Tony) Rini, Brenda (Joey) Wolniewicz, Eric (Jessica) Rupnow; grandchildren, Jane, Alex and Dominic Rini, Audrey and Karlie Wolniewicz, Jillian and Ethan Rupnow; sister, Rita Metz and niece, Andrea (Scott) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Audra (Batten) and John Paul Metz. Services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
