Brunswick, Brunswick Hills police blotter for Feb. 11, 2021

Brunswick police Monday, Feb. 1 6:36 a.m. — 2988 Nationwide Parkway, Tru Green Chem Lawn; after receiving reports of stolen catalytic converters, officers made contact with a man that said, sometime during the night, unknown suspects stole five converters from vehicles. There currently are no suspects. 7:58 p.m. — 3845 Magnolia Drive, Memorial Elementary School; officers responded to reports of a disabled vehicle and found that the driver had slid off the pavement and got stuck while drifting. 11:48 p.m. — 3500 block Monte Vista Drive; Angel Tonev, 3547 Monte Vista Drive, was cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court for misuse of 911. While drunk, he repeatedly called the Brunswick Police's emergency and non-emergency lines, as well as Medina County Sheriff's Office. Tuesday, Feb. 2 9:06 a.m. — 3500 block Grafton Road; Dennis Sichau, 3995 Magnolia Drive, was cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court for having an open container of beer in his car. Wednesday, Feb. 3 3:01 a.m. — Cross Creek Drive and Center Road; following a traffic stop, Anthony Norton, Medina, was cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 9:27 a.m. — 555 Independence Road, Medina County Jail; officers went to the jail to serve Brittany Janosky, 4383 Inner Circle Drive, with a warrant for failure to appear, stemming from an assault charge. Janosky was in jail on unrelated charges. 10:37 a.m. — 800 block Southbridge Blvd.; a Brunswick woman contacted police after she said her information was used to file for unemployment. There are currently no suspects. 10:31 p.m. — I-71 S. and Center Road; following a traffic stop, officers arrested Alen Lind of Cleveland after it was found that his license was suspended and he showed impairment during a field sobriety test. Lind was cited into Medina Municipal Court and released. Thursday, Feb. 4 3:29 a.m. — 3329 Center Road, El Taco Loco; after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle behind the restaurant, officers cited Lalo Munoz, 570 Simons Drive, into Brunswick Mayor's Court for an open container. Saturday, Feb. 6 12:26 a.m. — 4100 block Skyview Drive; after responding to reports of a disturbance, officers contacted Natasha Hennings, who was drunk and honking the horn of a car, and issued her a minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct. Monday, Feb. 8 4:15 p.m. — 1500 block Pearl Road; while attempting to investigate a potential domestic dispute in the Speedway parking lot, Quaran Phillips, 1562 Pearl Road, obstructed official business and was taken into custody, cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court and released. Brunswick Hills Police Tuesday, Feb. 2 11:35 a.m. — 4800 block Cabernet Drive; a Brunswick Hills man contacted police after he said someone stole his identity to apply for unemployment benefits with his name. Wednesday, Feb. 3 3:02 p.m. — 600 block Juniper Lane; a Brunswick resident went to the police station to file a report after he said an unknown person had filed for unemployment under his name. Saturday, Feb 6 10:09 p.m. — 4800 block Forest Grove Drive; after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle, officers cited the drive, Matthew Uhler, 3968 Miner Drive; Kyle Gray, 1836 Harris Circle; and Logan Zola, 4107 Charles Drive, with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana and an open container, and an open container and underage consumption of alcohol, respectively. 10:43 p.m. — 500 block Helen Avenue; while responding to a car accident officers arrested Justin Leiken, 435 Brambleside Drive, and cited him with reasonable control, OVI and marijuana possession.
