Brunswick, Brunswick Hills police blotter for Jan. 21, 2021

Brunswick police Wednesday, Jan. 13 1:24 p.m. — 300 block Judita Drive; a Brunswick resident reported an unknown male suspect made an unauthorized withdrawal of $560 from her husband's checking account. No further follow-up is required. 2:33 p.m. — 3670 Center Road, T-Mobile; after responding to reports of an assault, an employee at the T-Mobile said he was pushed and punched in the stomach by a female customer. The employee did not wish to press charges but the female was advised about trespassing on the property. 3:23 p.m. — 600 block West Drive; a Brunswick woman contacted police after she said her son, Jake Finkel, 682 West Drive, took her husband's car without permission. It was later reported the car had been returned but officers were unable to make contact with Finkel. A warrant for unauthorized use was entered into LEADS. Friday, Jan. 15 5:45 p.m. — 3700 block Grafton Road; a Brunswick woman reported she was the victim of theft after she attempted to purchase a dog online from a company called Globe9 Pitbulls for $400 and never received the dog. She was unable to get a refund. Sunday, Jan. 17 11:25 p.m. — 700 block Hadcock Road; following a traffic stop, Victor Garduno, North Royalton, was cited into Brunswick Mayor's Court for OVI, OVI over .17 percent and disobeying right turn rules. Tuesday, Jan. 19 3:06 p.m. — 17401 Holland Road, Brook Park Police Department; Joshua Harmon of Brook Park, who had an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Brunswick Mayor's Court, stemming from an OVI charge. Harmon was arrested and taken to Brunswick Mayor's Court without incident. Brunswick Hills police Tuesday, Jan. 12 7:36 a.m. — 300 block Peal Road; officers served a woman with a notice of trespass following an incident with a resident of the Rolling Wheels Trailer Park. The resident did not want to press charge. 4:34 p.m. — 1100 block Substation Road; a Brunswick resident contacted police after she said her daughter received two checks from a person on Instagram for $1,900 each but the bank flagged the deposits and did not cash them. The resident was advised to close the account the checks were sent to. Wednesday, Jan. 13 7:32 a.m. — 5329 Center Road, Sunoco; following a traffic stop, officers arrested Jeremy Hufstetler, who had an active warrant from a previous case and did not have a valid driver's license. Hufstetler was taken to Medina County Jail and cited for not having a valid operator's license and failure to reinstate.
