Ardith S. Roberts

Ardith S. Roberts, 82, of Lodi, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 1, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 15, 1938 in Huntington, Ohio to Hart and Dorothy (Beam) Leininger. Ardith graduated from Sullivan High School in 1956. She worked for Ohio Farmers Insurance (Westfield Group) for a number of years and later was employed as a bus driver for Cloverleaf Schools for close to 30 years. She had resided in Lodi most of her life and was well known for the numerous wedding and birthday cakes she had made for many people in the area. Surviving are her children, Michael (Tammy) Roberts of Tempe, Arizona, Dee (Ed) Grant of West Salem, Rodney (Marisol) Roberts of Tempe, Arizona, Rick Roberts of Lodi; grandchildren, Rachel Libben, Keith (Melanie) Libben and Kenny Libben, Eric, Randee, Tim, Katie, Brady and Richie Roberts; great-grandson, Alex Libben; step-grandsons, Jarred and Brent Grant; sister, Annabelle Leininger of Oberlin; brother, Roy (Sherrel) Leininger of Brownsboro, Texas and special friends, Les and Marlene Long of Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Lang and former husband, Richard Roberts. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Graveside service will be Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Huntington Cemetery in Huntington, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
