Jerry L. Jeffers

Jerry L. Jeffers went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the age of 70. Jerry was born October 1, 1950 to the late Willard and Glenna Jeffers. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Lynette and loving father to Mark, Michael and Matthew Jeffers; brother to Kenneth (Denice), Arthur, Joe, Pamela Davis (Jim) and David (Kris) Jeffers. Jerry proudly served his Country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1972. He was awarded the Purple Heart in 1971 for wounds sustained in combat.He raised three sons (along with many of their friends) and a multitude of animals on his 32 acre farm and was totally devoted to his four grandsons, Mason, Carson, James Michael and Willard Jeffers, who were the joy of his life. He will be deeply missed by them. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Road, Brunswick from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a church service at 3 p.m. Services will be live streamed on gbcheartline.org or the Grace Baptist Church Facebook page. He will be privately laid to rest with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
