Leadership announces awards finalists, nominees

Leadership Medina County announced this year's Excellence in Leadership finalists and nominees. This event occurs every two years to recognize leaders who have gone above and beyond in their field of work and for the community. This year, not only will award recipients be awarded a donation to their nonprofit of choice, but a portion of the money raised will benefit the young leaders in Junior Leadership Medina County. The finalists for each category are as follows: Medina County • Sandy Hinkle, executive director at Feeding Medina County. Her nonprofit of choice is Feeding Medina County. • Linda Randall, owner of One Smart Dog. Her nonprofit of choice is Project Learn. Business • Bethany Dentler, executive director at the Medina County Economic Development Corp. Her nonprofit of choice is the Salvation Army of Medina. • Mark Priebe, president of Proximity Marketing. His nonprofit of choice is the H2O Foundation. Education • Steven Chrisman, superintendent at the Medina County Career Center. His nonprofit of choice is Feeding Medina County. • Daryl Kubilus Jr., superintendent of Cloverleaf Local Schools. His nonprofit of choice is the Cloverleaf Schools Food Pantry. Emerging leaders • Bailey A. Ewing, human anti-trafficking coordinator at the Children's Center of Medina County. Her nonprofit of choice is the Children's Center of Medina County. • Ashley Powell, practice manager at Evanko Dental Group of Medina. Her nonprofit of choice is Sister Circle Medina. Health care • Richard Shewbridge, president at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital. His nonprofit of choice is the Medina Hospital Foundation. • Phillip Titterington, executive director at the Medina County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Board. His nonprofit of choice is Hope Recovery Community. Public service • Stefanie Robinson executive director of Hope Recovery Community and coordinator of Recovery Peer Support Services at OhioGuidestone. Her nonprofit of choice is Hope Recovery Community. • Ronald V. Stollar, superintendent at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center. His nonprofit of choice is the Friends of the JDC. Nominees include: David Ferrell, Philpott Solutions Group; Jason French, Western Reserve Masonic Community; John E. Holland, retired; Pastor Lucas V. Lindon, United Church of Christ, Congregational; Libby McGraw, Medina County Health Department; Megan C. Millikin, Medina County Juvenile Detention Center; Stephanie Mueller, Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce; Adrianne Laurel Patrick, Main Street Wadsworth; Michelle Reese, Roetzel & Andress; Jason V. Sanders, The University of Akron; Denise Testa, Medina County Planning Services and Fair Housing; Kyle White, The Ohio State University Extension; Matthew A.
