Northern Medina County Chamber executive director resigns

BRUNSWICK — The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance is back on the hunt for an executive director. Effective May 15, Maureen Dowell resigned as the executive director for personal reasons. The board will step in and carry on all related functions on behalf of the organization, Ed Gonzales, board chairman, said in statement. "Our vision and strategy does not change as we remain passionate about growing our membership and delivering great value via our networking, promotion, development, and advocacy activities," Gonzales said. "We will resume our search process to fill the executive director position while we also remain flexible and adaptable in carrying out our current events and activities under the uncertainty conditions due to COVID-19." After 18 months without an executive director, the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance appointed Dowell in November. Before taking the director position, Dowell served as the program manager at the Medina Community Recreation Center. The chamber's focus is the northern Medina County area of Hinckley, Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Valley City.
