Bonnie (Reese) Mariotti

On Tuesday, April 7th, 2020, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Bonnie Mariotti of Medina, passed away at the age of 75. Bonnie was born in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1944 and attended Ramsay High School.In 1981 Bonnie, her husband and her two sons relocated to Mesa, Arizona, where she was employed by Intel and Microchip, Inc. for most of her career. Upon retirement, Bonnie moved to Medina to live closer to her eldest son and his family. During her time in Medina, a town that she loved, Bonnie made many friends and an impression on just about everyone she met. She was incredibly selfless, refreshingly honest and always saw the best in people. Bonnie loved taking her "loop" bus into town for shopping and dining, and always looked forward to the Medina Farmers Market, Rally in the Alley and other local events. She was an active democrat and could be found recently canvassing in town. She also had strong love for Veterans, children with special needs and animals. Bonnie's joy was apparent in everything that she did. She loved good food, good music, mystery shows and spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved babysitting for Micah who left an indelible mark on her heart. Bonnie's motto was "Life is Good" and she certainly lived a good life.Bonnie was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, George and Mary Jane Reese.She is survived by her son, Matthew; wife, Sandy; son, Christopher and his wife, Kristen; grandchildren, Jazmine, Zoe, Jeffery and Holly and eight great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be planned for the summer.Please consider making a donation to Autism Speaks in Bonnie's name. This was an organization that she held very dear to her heart after caring for a child with autism for the last many years of her life.
