Shirley Rose Taylor

Shirley Rose Taylor, 79, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her residence with her loving husband, Richard L. Taylor, by her side. She was born August 27, 1940 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Ray B. and Golda I. Coffindaffer Dean.Shirley married her Richard Taylor on April 1, 1967 and recently celebrated their 53rd anniversary. She worked at Mcnicol China in Stonewood and Anchor Fastner in Ohio. Her hobbies were collecting cows, purses and shoes. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. She loved spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was member of First Baptist Church in Medina, then Emmanuel Baptist Church and was currently member at Middleville Baptist Church.In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her two sons, Clifford Edward Floyd II of Rittman and Wesley Allan Floyd, Sr. and wife, Janet of Medina; daughter, Laurie Lee Floyd Miller and husband, Charles of Burbank, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Clifford E Floyd III, Almeta Rose Floyd, Wesley A. Floyd II, Mindy L. Floyd, Wendy J. Floyd, Anne L. Arehart and husband, Hunter, Liessa M. Floyd; 10 great-grandchildren, Clifford IV, Kyler, Evelynn, Damien, Alleah, Kaden, Samantha, Taylor, James and Dominik; sister, Virginia F. Dean Beverly of Flemington and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Brennard Dean, Jr. and wife, Teresa and brother-in-law, James Beverly.Private visitation and service will be held at Davis Funeral Home. A public memorial will be held at a later date.
