Robert H. Phillips

Robert H. Phillips, of Medina, formerly from Albany, New York, died Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the age of 77, after a lengthy illness.Bob served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps before advancing his education at Hudson Valley Community College and Point Park College, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to receive Mechanical Engineer Degree. Bob worked in Refractories, earning two patents. He worked in New York; Pennsylvania Chicago, Illinois and in Cleveland.Bob enjoyed participating in marathons, triathlons, 10K races, skiing, camping, gardening, fishing and sailing. Bob participated in a Trans Atlantic sailboat race from Portsmouth, England in his retirement.Bob was the husband to Betty; father to sons, Christopher (Jill) and Peter (Julie) and grandfather to Brooke and Alden.Many thanks to CCF Medina and CCF Main Campus, Pall Care and visiting physicians for their conscientious care.Celebration of Bob's life is schedule at the VFW, 620 N. Broadway, Medina on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Veterans groups.
